Hello, and welcome to Mental Health Wellbeing. My name is Robert Boyd. I am a mental health practitioner who lives in Glasgow, Scotland. I specialise in a person-centred Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) that is built around you.
My background also means I am qualified to offer substantial wellbeing counselling, through both group therapy and one-to-one support.
I am approachable and flexible, and an extremely good listener. We can start off with an initial chat in the form of consultation and go from there and I can work around your availability to meet online throughout the UK, or in person within the Glasgow area.
My background
I have over thirty years of experienced in mental health care and research. Furthermore, my rewarding career as a lecturer has allowed me to carve out a well-rounded method of eliciting confidence and learning from people.
In 2007 I received a Mental Health Nursing Forum Scotland award for Practice, Innovation and Excellence. This was for setting up a mental health support group with vulnerable individuals.
Realising that people respond well to how I work with them has brought me closer to the traditional methods of CBT. However, I still have that spark of interest in people, and their uniqueness, so my approach is flexible to fit around you and your expectations.
